The BeanCast | The Best Marketing Podcast Anywhere

I've been thinking about this for a long time but never really said it so here it goes:

Is there any way to encourage discussion between beancast listeners? Is this happening anywhere?

I love the show and find that every week my head is spinning after the show with thoughts and comments on the discussion during the show yet I feel like there isn't always a conversation happening anywhere.

I do believe that the fact that it is a long format show makes it hard for discussion because I suspect many people listen over the course or a morning or a few days or while doing other things...

There's always a bit of discussion on twitter, but I personally find this a bit awkward as I've got about +5hours time difference and so the tweeting goes on at the wrong time for me.  Which is the main reason why I've been trying to get the whole forums side of things going.

It's tough. I've studied forums a lot and it takes a core group of about 10 or some people get one energized. Most people simply don't have the time.

The best thing I can suggest is to just work on getting a core group here posting. If you want to be a co-moderator, Danny, I'll set you up. Marcus already is one. I will support any ideas you come up with.

I will for sure be a co-moderator.

You are right, it does take time and effort to build a community and we'll never know until we try.  I see you have both Joe Jaffe and Mitch Joel on your next podcast so let's see what we can get going after this week's show because I'm sure there will be fireworks.

I haven't been too active on Beancast Facebook but I'll see if we can get something going here and bring people over to the forum.

Okay, done. You now have forum moderation privileges, including deleting and reassigning topics and member suspension. Blessings, my son. :-p
Oh I see, I always thought I was special..   Oh hum.....LOL
