Guys
Sorry for my late reply, I know how you all wait for my comments.
I was especially interested in the whole Adsense/ad network debate. I have a couple of non-ad related blogs and I use Google's Adsense. My experience is that it is now a very, very poor rate of pay. That is, if you are producing content just get clicks (and make money), then it's a few cents per hour. But if like me, the pocket money is extra and you are writing to give your opinions, then I guess it's okay. In terms of the alternative ad networks, I've only gone as far as researching them.
I think the trouble with the internet is that, people assume because it's so vast, there will be plenty of people out there just waiting for their content and so click their ads and make money. When in reality, if your site/content is poor, so will your response. The low rate of pay at the moment, is a response to supply and demand. A few years ago, it was good, then people jumped on it and now its probably over-subscribed. With some competition from other networks, it will be very interesting to see how Google responds. All this going on, as we are being told that ppc ads are working less and less.
Have a great week.

I didn't know anyone discusses the show in the forum, I usually post comments under the show itself but I love the show and will def jump in here more often.

Great to get you on the forums. I've been trying for ages to get the forums up and running. Bob did do a little plug a few months back.

The other marketing type podcast I listen to is Marketing Over Coffee and they have an amazing and vibrant linkedin group around the show that has lots of value for me.
