Enough belly aching I guess. With the advent of daily, automatic updates, Klout has instantly solidified their position as the defacto standard in social influence. Why? Because the system can't be gamed anymore. You can't time your updates for maximum effect.
To be sure, I still think the whole thing is foolishness. But clearly your Klout score is now going to be tied to your ability to affect others and thus is a clear metric of whether you deserve a job in social media. This is kind of a shame, considering there are many people who are good at working social for others, but would like to remain personally in the shadows of privacy.
