Not sure if this is the right forum for this or not, but Bob can feel free to move it if he would like.
A recent look through a phone book showed that every ad agency in the city had a yellow pages ad. This, despite mounting evidence that they just don't work.
So,are the agencies all stupid for advertising there, or do they assume their clients are stupid/old school and looking in the yellow pages for solutions?
What do you all think?
*edit* Of course, the other possibility is that these ads actually DO work, despite what we read about them being useless.
I've often wondered about that. I personally don't list, but there's something to be said for brand presence. If agencies preach it, you gotta put your money where your mouth is.
Plus a Yellow Pages buy includes inbound links from their website now, so from an SEO standpoint it may not be a bad idea. I'm not an expert on that, though. Just conjecture.
