"I think the best argument that I've heard against this was: what happens when the Monday night race is rain delayed until Tuesday? I still wouldn't be surprised to see one event scheduled during the week next year. Should be interesting…"

Bob Knorpp replied to Ryan Holota's discussion Daytona 500 in Primetime
"Hm. NASCAR has actually been continuing to slip in popularity and has financial troubles. Not sure it would make a good Football replacement. I too wonder about the move's effect on the ratings, but I would think it probably hurt viewership of…"

Ryan Holota replied to Stuart Thursby's discussion The Thing About Gap
"I think that Gap left their logo alone for too long. It became a classic piece of marketing that consumers have come to love, a staple in the shopping malls, and something that most people really identify with. I don't buy anything from the…"

Ryan Holota replied to Bob Knorpp's discussion The problem with "Corn Sugar"
"TAB sold for years in the US with a warning on the side of the can that clearly stated that it contained a product that caused cancer in lab rats. "Corn Sugar" is in so many of the products that we buy that I don't think it really…"

Ryan Holota replied to Bob Knorpp's discussion Do Stunts Like This Buy Brand Equity?
"Perhaps, but isn't the potential downside of a stunt like this particularly frightening? Streakers, groping, sexual assault, etc? It's certainly an attention getting stunt, but I'm not sure how smart it is for the company in the long…"

Ryan Holota replied to Bob Knorpp's discussion Has Ted Extended It's Brand Too Far
"There is a TEDx event happening not too far from me this winter. Yes here, between Timbuktu and Lower Rubber Boot Canada. I think that they risk diluting their brand by spreading themselves too wide. Isn't one of the coolest things about TED…"
