It took Scott less than five minutes to start in with the carefully placed Ford references. Trouble is, he's so good at it you end up not minding. Still, I thought it important to point out that at no point do we have a Ford-based topic, nor do they sponsor the show, and we still talked about Ford enough for me to make a disclaimer. Now THAT is talent!
We had incredible chemistry last night, due in large part to the fact that all of these folks are friends offline as well. But I'd like to think that it's also because of a topic list that was perfectly suited to their talents and expertise. And despite some of the topics crossing the line into territory that made it uncomfortable for some of the guests, we still managed to debate well and get to some interesting points that I believe you'll appreciate.
I hope you enjoy the program. And please remember, I'd love some more Twitter followers to continue the conversation there. Just follow @TheBeanCast.

Comment by Danny Starr on February 2, 2012 at 9:07am This was a great show Bob. The panel was awesome.
BTW, I started hosting a podcast a few weeks ago. My goal for the next 6 months is to be as good with your "live" intros and outros as you are. I know that it's automatic for you now but did you have a script of some sort that you followed when you first started?
I've always worked with a script. I kind of believe they are essential. And the longer I've used them, the more I realize that more I stray from the script, the worse the show goes. It's just so important to have a tight plan, even when the premise is fluid conversation.
Comment by Danny Starr on February 2, 2012 at 1:42pm Thanks for the tip Bob. My goal for the next 6 months is to be 50% as good as host as you and if I get there, I'll be really happy. Keep up the good work.
