If you've been following me on Twitter, you know by now that my A/C gave out at 6pm Friday on the hottest weekend yet this year. So even though the plan was to talk about how measuring loyalty was the hot topic of last week, the temperature kind of added new meaning to it all.

So with fans trying to cool me (literal fans, not you all) and computers shutting down from the heat, I muscled through to show you how to really measure loyalty — by sweat and dedication.

And what was the quote of the day? Well, Mitch saying he had squirrels coming out of his butt was definitely in the running. But I'm going to have to go with Edward's quote of a friend of his: "I don't recommend you to my friends because I like you. I recommend you to my friends because I like my friends."

Words to live by, that.

As usual, I'd also love to have you as a Twitter follower. I'm TheBeanCast. Thanks for listening and please add a positive review to iTunes if you like the show.

Great show and it is in the Best Of Folder (my tweet gets pushed down but comments last forever). Now some damage control. I woke up from a long nap and didn't look at the clock - posted comments on "topics for show" page. The comment is my thoughts before listening to the show so I did not delete and repost. Also, I don't know where that 'live' thing came from - it belongs in the sliceofscifi comment I left hanging. Ignore it, my FUBAR hour.

We return to the show already listened to .....

On loyalty: What I said in "topics" seem to be close to what really goes on.

On BP: I don't care, nothing I say changes anything, nothing I do will change anything and the whole situation is ignored most of the time. Falls into my shit happens file along with earthquakes.

On video: That is some crazy stuff. I don't need more assaults to eyes and ears to filter out. However, Kroger had an interesting something (had to be part of an ad campaign.) in the milk fridge. When you open the door a real cow moo played for a couple of seconds. Wife told me and everyone she talked to about it. I checked it when it was my turn to 'store run' - funny as hell and I looked for a camera. No camera but the security bubble. Don't think that one was recording people's reaction to the cow moo. Something very simple that got passed around by shoppers. Did it generate new customers? No idea.
I is not just video that is over played. Try this on; e-ads (prefix with E abuse). DMV CA wants ads on license tag. Major fail; I am driving you morons.

On Cannes: You covered the TV spots but there is web page user interactive. The Philips HDTV 5 short films thing. The web site had the TV with buttons to flip (big time flash code) and watch the short films. Real cool. So, Philips won (The Gift is best film) everyone go home now.
