Bob On Social Toolkit

A few weeks back I recorded an episode of Social Toolkit with Jason Keath and Jason Yarborough, and now the show has finally posted.

As often as I end up talking about podcasting when I'm interviewed, I always seem to find something new to add on the subject. This time was no different, as we ventured deep into the territory of how to create definitive objectives for your show in order to get the most value.

Like any marketing tactic, podcasting needs to have direction and reasonably attainable goals. Sure, these goals may evolve and even expand over time, but it's important not to bite off more than you can chew at the start. As I've said often, The BeanCast was created simply as an excuse to vet new ideas with smart people. The fact that an audience showed up was a bonus that has paid surprising dividends over time.

As they say in recovery, "Keep it simple, stupid."

So please take a listen and provide your comments below. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this subject.
